RESOURCE INDUSTRIAL first opened its doors in 1996. The goal at that time was to provide products and ongoing technical support to existing users of Honeywell's HVS family of vision systems. Building on the HVS success, RESOURCE INDUSTRIAL added lines over the years covering everything from machine protective covers, cable carrier & ball screws to coolant recycling and engineering services.

 

John hails from a small town near Waterloo, IA.  His background is in electrical engineering technology which he studied at Hawkeye Technical College.  He worked for Honeywell in various roles over the years including design engineer, applications engineer, as well as traveling technical sales and support.  He is known as a 'renaissance man' to his friends and family, the kind of guy that can help you change the engine in your car and cook a gourmet meal when he's done.  He is a master problem solver.  His hobbies include water (boating, SCUBA), land (Harleys and Corvettes), and sky (flying - r/c models as well as real airplanes).  He is a loving father of four boys.

 

Born in Madison, Carolyn grew up mostly in Freeport, IL.  Carolyn studied at the  University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she obtained a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Japanese.  After college, Carolyn joined Honeywell as a Field Sales Engineer then evenutally joined their Automotive Division as a Quality Engineer.  In her free time, Carolyn volunteers for the Freeport Art Museum and at the boys’ schools.  Carolyn has a passion for reading, writing, and yoga and spends much of her free time conjuring connection with her favorite family and friends.  She and John love to entertain and if not on their patio or around dining room table, you’ll likely find her in her ‘happy place’ — at the lake on the boat.

John and Carolyn met working together for Honeywell in the late 90s and have been working together as a team ever since. Their complementary skills make them an outstanding rep duo.  John is absolutely in his sweet spot on-site solving problems for customers - whether epic or small, electrical or mechanical.  He is also the visionary for the business, driving the large picture decisions.  Carolyn is the master organizer and systems implementer, managing customer relations and ensuring the flow of satisfaction all around.
