HVS vision systems perform high speed, non-contact, online part inspection and gauging. The HVS line was introduced in the early 1980's and still enjoys widespread use in industrial applications where high accuracy online gauging is required. The HVS systems are now produced in France, and RESOURCE INDUSTRIAL is the sole authorized U.S. representative for sales and support.

The HVS performs high speed, non-contact, on-line part inspection and gauging. High accuracy with lighting variation insensitivity makes this gauge unique. It offers significant performance and flexibility advantages over traditional sensors, with capability to perform many of the inspection and gauging tasks of full vision systems at a lower cost. Software programming or other special skills are not required for setup installation or maintenance. Fully self-contained, internal calibration aids simplify installation and alignment.
Choice of Outputs: Solid State Open Collector, Analog (0-10 VDC, 4-20 mA), RS232-C or RS422 ASCII, and partyline independently addressable and shared communication port.
Multi-Function Sensor: HVS gauges up to 18 separate edge positions, gauges widths and center locations, counts number of edges, determines measurement statistics - is a self-contained multidimensional inspection device.
Accuracy and Speed: Edge measurement accuracy of sensor is 1/1000th of field of view, exposure time to 1/4000th second, inspection speeds to 5000/minute, resolution is 1/4000th of field of view and 256 level grey scale processing.
Flexible and Useable: Sensor has a standoff range of 2-240 inches, choice of lenses, field adjustable focus, factory pre-programmed software, selectable on site, operates synchronous or continuous and has an adjustable field of view.
Easy Set Up and Calibration: Sensor functions are selectable by menu, using preprogrammed software; unit comes with built in alignment aid, does not require strobe lighting, and has a 16 LED bar graph to aid focusing, alignment and reads out exposure time.
Factory Compatible: Unit has rugged machined aluminum case, NEMA 12 enclosure (NEMA 4 optional), military grade sealed connector, sealed fixed focus lenses, self-locking internal focus adjustment, unit is insensitive to ambient lighting conditions, has non-volatile memory following power loss and interfaces directly to sorting gates, programmable controllers, cell and system computers.
